Hi, I’m Sarah, Head Trainer and Founder of Better with Sarah. I’ve got 10+ years of experience in the fitness industry.
My favourite type of training is strength and conditioning because being strong has made me a better person.
It's changed the way I see myself and given me:
purpose
passion
lifelong connections
perspective
the ability to push through adversity
And it’s helped me to do things I hadn't thought myself capable of.
I’m also a qualified counsellor and many of my clients have trauma backgrounds. Learning about who you are and what you've faced is my first priority.
So my personal training style combines emotional and mental support with functional exercise.
I opened my own training studio during the COVID-19 pandemic. After training and working in other gyms, I knew how sacred a safe training space could be. Better With Sarah is a space where people can be themselves AND receive top-quality, individualised coaching.
It’s a supportive and accepting environment.
I’ve learned over the years to embrace who the fuck I am.
Turning my dedication and drive for helping people be themselves into my dream job is everything I’d wanted and more!

With 7+ years of coaching experience, every day I train clients feels like a fun adventure, not work.
Why? Because I truly love supporting and motivating you on your fitness journey.
Growing our community through private and group training is the absolute highlight of my week!
Speaking of passion, I'm a total nerd (in the best way) about learning, promoting human health and social connection.
My philosophy? Challenge yourself, absolutely, but have a blast while you're doing it! You'll probably hear me laughing before you even see me in the gym.
Outside the studio, I'm all about staying active in mind and body – tennis, board games, nature walks (my happy place!), or conquering the climbing wall (bouldering, of course!).
Competition and sports have always been my jam.
But in 2013, a major leg break (ask to see the scar, I’ll prove it!) forced me to rethink everything – not just playing sports, but simply walking and moving freely. It was a wake-up call on how much I took my body and mental well-being for granted.
Both seemed to vanish overnight.
Getting back to my energetic, bubbly self wasn't easy. Rehabilitation and research became my teachers, helping me develop the tools and lifestyle strategies I now use to help my clients.
My recovery wasn't just physical. It was a complete mental, social, and spiritual transformation. Exercise, among other things, became a powerful catalyst for change.
Now, I'm incredibly proud to share all the knowledge I've gained and tested to help you reach your full potential.

Lauren Sheridan
YOGA THERAPY • TRAUMA INFORMED YOGA
We are very excited to introduce Yoga Therapy to our movement space, facilitated by the pretty amazing Lauren! With over 12 years of experience as a yoga and barre teacher, Lauren is passionate about helping people move their bodies, find relief from stress, and ease pain and discomfort.
Since 2020, Lauren has worked as a Remedial Massage Therapist, completing her Diploma of Myotherapy in 2022. More recently she has expanded her passion for holistic healing to become a Reiki practitioner. As a mother of two, Lauren understands the importance of balanced and holistic well-being, and truly embodies our values in terms of prioritising mental health, authentic connection, and self compassion.
“I love working with clients 1:1 in the Yoga Therapy space because it allows me to truly connect with each individual's unique needs and goals. In a one-on-one setting, I can create tailored sessions that address specific physical, emotional, or mental health challenges, ensuring that the practice is deeply personalised. Lauren is a valued member of our team as well as managing her own clinic, Northeast Wellness (just a couple of doors down!) where she offers Myotherapy, massage and Reiki services. Her private Yoga Therapy sessions will be conducted privately using the Better With Sarah studio on a Tuesday afternoon.
What is Yoga Therapy?
